The Lovely Moon started as an experiment to produce tuneful and uplifting generative music.

Each note, whether it be played on a piano, guitar, drum or whatever is on a long loop. Each loop for each note is a different length so the layered notes loop and interact in new and interesting ways. I use this technique in other projects, such as the music of The Ambient Visitor, but this project has a specific flavour. It is largely positive and bright sounding.

There are relatively few releases by The Lovely Moon compared to many of my other projects. This is due to the specifics of the sound and the techniques used on these albums.
